2 days Toubkal Trek in Morocco

The adventure begins with a scenic drive from Marrakech to the mountain village of Imlil, the gateway to the High Atlas. From there, you’ll start the trek through Berber hamlets and striking alpine landscapes, passing the spiritual stop of Sidi Chamharouch at 2,350 meters. The trail continues upward, offering sweeping valley views until you reach the Toubkal Refuge at 3,207 meters, where trekkers rest and acclimate for the night. Meals are provided at the refuge, and the evening is spent preparing for an early summit attempt the next day.

A pre-dawn start leads to the summit of Mount Toubkal, with the climb taking about 3–4 hours over rocky switchbacks. At the top—4,167 meters high—you’re rewarded with panoramic views of the Atlas range and the distant Sahara. After soaking in the scenery, you’ll descend back to the refuge for a short rest and lunch, then continue all the way down to Imlil. A driver will meet you for the return to Marrakech by early evening, completing a powerful and unforgettable mountain experience in just two days.
