4 Day Mount Toubkal Trek

After breakfast in Marrakech, you'll be transferred to Imlil (1,740 m), the starting point of the trek. From there, you'll hike up toward the Tizi Mzik Pass (2,450 m), with spectacular views of the surrounding valleys. The trail then descends into the remote and less-visited Tamsoult Valley, where you'll spend the night in a traditional mountain hut or campsite in Azib Tamsoult (2,250 m). This day is a great warm-up and helps your body begin acclimatizing.

This is a challenging but scenic day. You'll ascend the Aguelzim Pass (3,560 m) with views over the Toubkal Massif, then descend to the Toubkal Refuge (3,207 m) where you’ll join the main trail used by summit trekkers. The hike takes around 6–7 hours, crossing rugged and less-trodden terrain. After a hot dinner and some rest, you’ll prepare for the summit push the next morning.

An early alpine start (around 4:00 AM) leads you to the summit of Mount Toubkal, the highest point in North Africa. The climb takes 3–4 hours and rewards you with unforgettable sunrise views over the Atlas Mountains and beyond. After spending some time at the top, you'll descend back to the refuge for rest and lunch. You’ll spend a second night here to recover from the summit day.

On the final day, you’ll make your descent back to Imlil via the Mizane Valley, passing the Sidi Chamharouch shrine along the way. The trail is gentle and scenic, taking about 4–5 hours. Once in Imlil, you’ll be picked up and driven back to Marrakech, arriving by late afternoon, marking the end of your incredible mountain adventure.
